On Saturday, July 16, Lokomotiv players officially returned from vacation and began preparations for the 2022/23 KHL season. According to the established tradition, the procedure for entering the season was opened by an in-depth medical examination, which took place at the Lokomotiv Sports Medicine Center in Yaroslavl on Frunze Avenue. Under the supervision of the team´s doctor Vladimir Rudychev and the head physician of the CSM "Locomotive" Andrey Zavodchikov, 16 players from the main team of the "railroad" were examined by specialists. Among them are defenders Alexei Marchenko, Rushan Rafikov, Alexander Yelesin, Maxim Osipov, Andrei Sergeev, forwards - Yegor Averin, Sergei Andronov, Maxim Shalunov, Artem Ilyenko, Yegor Korshkov, Pavel Kraskovsky, Alexander Polunin, Denis Alekseev, Artur Kayumov, Georgy Ivanov, Ivan Chekhovich. It should be noted that a little earlier, goalkeepers Daniil Isaev and Ivan Bocharov, defenders Nikita Cherepanov and Daniil Misyul, as well as a whole group of young players who will work under Igor Nikitin´s coaching staff at the first training camp, passed the medical examination.

The team meeting and the first training session, so far off the ice, at Lokomotiv is scheduled for Monday, July 18.
